چکیده

One of the most promising ways to provide significant capacity gains in personal wireless networks, is to utilize adaptive antenna systems. These provide high interference and noise suppression capabilities. For most applications 2D descriptions are sufficient as largely only linear antenna arrays will used in 1 generation implementations. Thus, this paper will focus on 2D directional metrics. The effectiveness of adaptive antenna systems is closely linked with the perceived angular dispersion m(φ) of the radio environment, expressed via a correlation relation between antenna diagram a(φ) and environment angular response e(φ) [1]. This yields a simple multiplicative angular frequency domain description (ωφ being the angular sidelobe frequency or angular harmonic [2]). Thus, it is similar to the convolution property between a filter and input in the temporal domain [2]

A Novel Classification model of the Mobile Radio Channel for Multi-Input-Multi-Output (MIMO) Antenna Systems

This paper proposes a general classification of the dual directional mobile radio channel based on simple dispersion metrics. The classification is valid for narrowband channels and can qualitatively indicate the amount of support for parallel channels. Ray-tracing simulations of different dual directional radio channels have been done to validate the classification model.

TDL-based Wideband Beamforming for Radio Sources Close to the Array Endfire

Uniform linear array (ULA)-based tapped-delay line (TDL) structure has good performance metrics when the signal sources are located at the middle angles. It offers poor performance when the signal sources are close to the array endfire. In this paper, a new approach is proposed which offers higher performance and desired beamforming on TDL structure when the wideband uncorrelated radio sources ...

Joint inversion of ReMi dispersion curves and refraction travel times using particle swarm optimization algorithm

Shear-wave velocity ( ) is an important parameter used for site characterization in geotechnical engineering. However, dispersion curve inversion is challenging for most inversion methods due to its high non-linearity and mix-determined trait. In order to overcome these problems, in this study, a joint inversion strategy is proposed based on the particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm. The ...
